VOLUME 19, NUMBER 49 December 22, 1972 DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA Vice President’s Message This is the time of year, during the Christmas Holiday Season, when we all take special note of the many blessings and joys that have come to us during the year and throughout the years before. It is also the time of year when we hear the words, "It's more blessed to give than to receive." We at Duke especially know what those words mean because the job of every one of us here is involved in some manner in giving — giving medical service and patient care to those who come to us in need. And in doing our jobs, we are contributing to one of the greatest blessings of all, good health. / want to pass along to you the gratitude that / and others hear expressed to us throughout the year by patients, and to add to it my personal thanks for your dedicated service. Sincere best wishes for the holiday and the year ahead. W. G. Aniyan, M. D.
